Lydia Hamilton Brown

A graduate of The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Art, Hamilton Brown is a process artist.

She takes a single image and manipulates it over and over until it results in a large scale painting. Each image becomes as important as the end result.

Process over product...hundreds of images result in the form of books, collage, digital prints and small sculpture. It simply never ends. Just when you think the paintings finish this journey, she photographs, prints and begins again.

When asked about her work, Hamilton Brown comments, “I just like to make stuff”.
